A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO PARENTS OR GUARDIANS
Paintball is a safe and enjoyable sport as long as safety rules are always followed. However, personal injury, including blindness or death, can result from improper handling if a paintball strikes someone in a vulnerable spot. A paintball marker is NOT A TOY. Therefore, if you purchase a paintball marker for use by a younger shooter, please make certain that he or she operates it under the supervision of a knowledgeable adult. Make sure that your son or daughter understands and uses safe paintball marker handling procedures. You may be able to obtain information from your local field operator or paintball retailer about where to find a safety class in your area.

The most important protection you can give your children is to insist that they use a quality face mask designed specifically for paintball, that they always wear it when handling a paintball marker and that they abide by the safety rules.

PAINTBALL MARKER SAFETY

DO NOT ever point the paintball marker at anything you do not intend to shoot.
ALWAYS treat the paintball marker as though it were loaded.
ALWAYS aim in a SAFE DIRECTION.
ALWAYS keep the muzzle of the paintball marker pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION.
ALWAYS keep the paintball marker "ON SAFE" until you are ready to shoot in a SAFE DIRECTION.
ALWAYS check to see if the paintball marker is "ON SAFE" and unloaded when getting it from another person or from storage.
ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until ready to shoot.
ALWAYS make sure the barrel plug is in place when not actually shooting.
NEVER disassemble the paintball marker before removing the gas source.
DO NOT put the paintball marker away loaded or charged with CO2.
ALWAYS follow the manufacturer's warnings listed on the CO2 tank for handling and storage of CO2. PAINTBALL SAFETY USE .68 caliber paintballs only. Use of any other ammunition can cause injury to you and/or others.
NEVER reuse paintballs.
DO NOT shoot at fragile objects such as windows.
DO NOT shoot at public or private property or wildlife. Paintball vandalism is considered a crime in most municipalities. Paintballs may cause staining of some porous surfaces such as brick, stucco, wood and some finishes on cars.
STORE paintballs according to manufacturer's recommendations. Failure to store paintballs properly may
increase the possible risk of injury due to hardening of the outer shell.
DO NOT ingest paintballs.
KEEP paintballs out of the reach of children.

EYE, EAR, FACE AND THROAT SAFETY
Eye, ear, face and throat protection designed specifically for paintball must be worn by the user and any
person within 150 yards (137 meters).

Never shoot at anyone who is not wearing proper protection or is not participating in your game of paintball.

Approved face mask/goggle system must remain in protective position at all times during games, and
whenever a person is in an area where shooting is permitted, including game field, chronograph area and
target range.

Eye, ear, face and throat protection must NEVER be removed until a player is in an area where shooting
is prohibited, and all players have a barrel plug in place. Standing out of bounds or being eliminated from
a game DOES NOT justify removing goggles.

These rules MUST BE FOLLOWED AT ALL TIMES. This is the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of the sport of
paintball. If ANY of these rules are ignored, PERMANENT BLINDNESS, DEAFNESS, SERIOUS INJURY
OR DEATH could occur
.
